With a 24-48/hour turnaround time for most evaluation reports, FHI has successfully evaluated over 6,000 education cases since 1999 and is able to provide clients throughout the United States with an evaluation of global and foreign credentials for purposes of: Immigration, Employment and Further Education.

Frances Hewitt founded FHI in Northern California in January of 1999 after having gained more than 10 years of international education experience. She was born in Spain and is a native Spanish speaker. She has also lived abroad in France and is fluent in French.

Hewitt has attended numerous conferences and has participated as a panelist at professional seminars in both Spanish and English throughout Europe, South America, Central America and Africa. Hewitt obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration in 1989 and a Master of Arts Degree in Public Administration in 1994 from Seattle University. In addition, Hewitt was the International Student Recruiter and INS professional at Seattle University from 1989-1995. In 1996, Hewitt became the Immigration Specialist and International Designated School Official (DSO) at the Oregon Graduate Institute of Science & Technology (now known as OGI School of Engineering) in Portland, Oregon.

FHI is a member of NAFSA: National Association of Foreign Student Advisors. In addition, Hewitt has held memberships in various professional educational organizations.
